Eight Stories for Reading Chinese Paintings (Traditional Characters)
When encountering a Chinese painting, I typically find that only people who grew up around Chinese art can read the Chinese characters in the corners of the frame. My normal experience would be to try and guess one of the characters, be told I was wrong, and then immediately give up. These eight stories are designed to provide eye training in the most frequent Chinese characters in two common forms of hard-to-read Chinese characters commonly found on Chinese paintings. Enjoy!
